Have you heard the word Movember floating around media outlets, Facebook (find us HERE) and the blogosphere lately? Are you wondering what the heck a Movember even is? Today we're here to clear that up for you in hopes that you'll become a Movember man. "Movember challenges men to change their appearance and the face of men’s health by growing a moustache. The rules are simple, start Movember 1st clean-shaven and then grow a moustache for the entire month. The moustache becomes the ribbon for men’s health, the means by which awareness and funds are raised for cancers that affect men. Much like the commitment to run or walk for charity, the men of Movember commit to growing a moustache for 30 days."

Charity: PAWS (Pets Are Worth Saving) in Chicago

Looking to add a furry friend into your brood and reside in the Chicago area? You only think that dude that you meet for beers on Wednesday night's is your best friend. Nope, these furry little guys are truly 'man's best friend!' They'll listen when you talk, they'll make you laugh when you're down and they'll provide hours of free entertainment, right at home. Plus, it's much easier to strike up a conversation in the dog park when you HAVE a dog and don't just look like some scary dog stalker. Maybe take a minute and check out PAWS. "Since PAWS Chicago’s founding in 1997, the number of homeless dogs and cats killed annually has dropped more than 50 percent. PAWS Chicago is working to build a No Kill Chicago—a city where pets are no longer destroyed just because they are homeless. PAWS Chicago will find new homes for more than 4,000 homeless pets in 2010 through the state-of-the-art Adoption & Humane Center in Lincoln Park. The cageless Adoption Center provides homeless pets with the care and dignity they deserve while welcoming adopters, providing them with guidance in selecting their new pet and continued support for life."
