The Black Eyed Peas are immensely popular, and they crank out catchy hit after catchy hit, but they're missing that depth and intelligence that a fan can really respect. However, one listen to Will.I.Am's 2007 solo album 'Songs About Girls' and you'll realize where the artistic integrity of the Black Eyed Peas lies... Every track is good or great, and the hooks are intricate and involved. I have a lot more respect for the Black Eyed Peas after listening to this album, so take a listen to a few demo tracks below!

Today, we check out the music of Scottish band Travis, and because all their albums are great, and we couldn't pick just one, we give you a song from four old albums. Enjoy!

  Released in 1999, Travis' second studio album rose above the first in many ways, but most of all, in sound and production quality. Heres a song that made them quite popular in the states, and you may have heard of it!

Ray Lamontagne releases his fourth album on Tuesday, so we thought we'd take the opportunity to look back on his best thus far, 'Till the Sun Turns Black.'

The Maine singer-songwriter has an amazing, raspy voice, and brings a lot of soul to his progressive-folk style. This particular album, his second, retreats a bit from his debut album and evokes much deeper emotions with slower, heavier songs. But, Ray shows a lighter side with songs like "Three More Days." Is this album amazing? Well, its ok. So why are we featuring it? Because one of its tracks is one of the catchiest songs ever made, thats why.

Grizzly Bear, the indie group from NY, released Veckatimest back in May of 2009. Its a compilation of noisy, scratchy, retro-electronic tracks. But one track shines through the heavy indie songs; two weeks.

Some of you may recognize this song because it got fairly popular. Well theres a reason for its popularity; its amazing. So take a listen and enjoy today's music flashback!

Music Flashback: Keane - Perfect Symmetry

The GentDaily team (well, half of the team anyways) checked out a concert in Chicago last night of, you guessed it, Keane. Simply Amazing. These guys have what it takes to continue to get better, so we thought we'd bring you their 2008 hit album 'Perfect Symmetry' for your listening pleasure today!

Keane's third studio album, 'Perfect Symmetry' was a huge improvement over their second album (which was an improvement over their first album...and their first album was amazing, you see what we're getting at here). Keane released their fourth album back in May to mixed reviews, so we'll leave that one for another day.

Full of synthesizers and 80s pop-esque tunes, 'Perfect Symmetry' covers the gauntlet of styles from all the post-radiohead brit bands, and they do it with, well, perfect symmetry. Tracks like "Spiralling" and "The Lovers are Losing" evoke a music genre that was prevalent 20 years early, but do it with new spins. To contrast, "Playing Along" and "You Don't See Me" reach back to the brit-pop roots that made these guys popular. Download the entire album on iTunes or get the hard copy HERE.

Music Flashback: Third Eye Blind - Blue

At GentDaily, we try to stay on the forefront of music releases, bringing you brand new music from our favorite bands. Sometimes, however, albums of old deserve another homage. So, starting today, we're going to bring you one old album per week that we think deserves another listen!

Following the huge success of their debut self-titled album, San Francisco's Third Eye Blind released 'Blue' in 1999. Although the album didn't have as much success as the first album, Blue still did very well and had a few great tracks.

The hit single, "I'll Never Let You Go" and "10 Days Late" followed the intoxicatingly catchy mold of the first album's "Semi-charmed Life," while more mellow tracks like "Slow Motion" showed the band's deeper side. Even the track "Wounded" seemed to pre-date bands like Angels & Airwaves by a decade. So, we've attached a few choice tracks from 'Blue' and hopefully they'll be pleasantly nostalgic, enjoy!
